Agua Viva International

James C. Allen is presently the Chairman of the Board and President of Agua Viva International, Inc.

Mr. Allen first visited Guatemala in 2005 with the Colonial Presbyterian Church.  As a result of his Christian accountability group, Mr. Allen was compelled to join a short term mission trip to Guatemala where he first learned about the severe shortage of clean drinking water in third world countries.  Mr. Allen and a group of dedicated friends returned soon after and installed an innovative and effective Water Purification System.  The demand for Agua Viva’s Water Purification Systems increased rapidly and the organization incorporated in 2011 as a non-profit 501(c)3 registered in the State of Kansas, in Good Standing.  To date, Agua Viva has installed 25 systems in five countries, serving approximately 25,000 poor indigenous people.

Allen has been married nearly 42 years to Nancy and they have two children and four grandchildren.  They are presently members of the Church of the Resurrection, & Mr. Allen is an Elder of the Presbyterian Church.
