Born and raised in Kansas City, Mo. Graduated from Southwest High School Kansas City Public Schools. Served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. Graduated from Morehouse College HBCU with BS in Political Science. Graduated from Howard University Master's in Clinical Psychology and Early Childhood development. Worked for Kansas City Mo. School District as an Elementary School teacher. Worked as a reporter for Kansas City CALL newspaper and then became Managing Editor and Publisher until June 2023.
