Culture Changes to Fix Your Staffing Shortage

Josh Smith is a Program Director in Business Solutions with Johnson County Community College. In this role, he helps serve as a strategic business partner/consultant by identifying the needs and developing educational leadership programs for area businesses through the Continuing Education branch at JCCC. Josh previously led the transportation training program which was the largest program in Continuing Education in 2021.  Josh has been a Director in the Continuing Ed since 2016 and a college employee since 2003.  Josh has also taught as an Adjunct Instructor in Business for the last 18 years at JCCC.  Josh’s background is extensive and includes working for five fortune 500 companies, 12 years in Human Resources, and several years as a Healthcare Director.

When Josh is not working, he, his wife, and their two teenage boys enjoy traveling. They have visited more than 45 national parks most recently returned earlier this summer from a trip in Europe where they visited Belgium, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
